Our glass innovations are tested by certified institutes to ensure their quality and safety.

There are various options:
A general building inspection test certificate (abP) for fall protection in accordance with DIN 18008-4 in category A, e.g. P-2025-3024 or 2023-3038, issued by the LSL – Labor für Stahl- und Leichtmetallbau GmbH (an institute affiliated with Munich University of Applied Sciences) or by TÜV tests (TÜV Rheinland) (impact test and classification of flat glass according to DIN 12600 or laminated glass according to DIN 12543).

Scientifically proven: the antiviral effect of the sun is retained with Sunexx®.

A scientific study conducted by the University Hospital Regensburg under the direction of Prof. Dr. Mark Berneburg and Dr. York Kamenisch has confirmed, based on tests with SARS-CoV-2 surrogates, that the UVB light from the sun passing through Sunexx glazing has a proven antiviral and antibacterial effect. This means that the bacterial and viral load in rooms can be reduced, creating healthier living and working spaces.

Does Sunexx still sell the proven HelioVital technology?

NO.  Sunexx is rather the further development and completion of the sun filter technology in glass developed and proven over 20 years by Klaus Lang, which enables a new enjoyment of the sun, healthy living and working spaces with targeted use of biopositive sun rays for humans, animals and plants. In the course of product optimisation, the production and distribution of HelioVital products was discontinued.

What does the Sunexx filter foil and filter panes do?

From the spectrum of the sun’s rays, Sunexx technology filters out harmful short-wave UVB and UVA rays that are not visible to the eye. The short-wave UVB rays are the main cause of sunburn, skin cancer and premature skin ageing. The short-wave UVA rays are responsible for various sun allergies and are also partly responsible for premature skin ageing. The Sunexx filter films and filter discs protect the skin, eyes and hair through their special property of filtering out these harmful rays from the sunlight.

In addition to this protection against harmful UV rays, the Sunexx innovation also brings about a targeted reduction of the sun’s IR (infrared) (heat) radiation, which is also invisible and tailored to the intended use. According to the latest medical findings, these IR rays – depending on their intensity – can also lead to premature skin ageing and are also suspected of contributing to the development of skin cancer.

The selective protection provided by Sunexx sun protection films and filter panes against the recognised risks of dangerous rays of the sun is what makes it possible to use the sun for health, well-being and also for attractive tanning of the skin without these risks.

Because the sun’s rays are not only dangerous, but sun is rather vital for humans, animals and plants. Selectively separating biopositive rays from harmful rays and then letting them through is the best feature of Sunexx products.
